Etsy shop

Just wanted to share my Etsy shop with those that are still following me on here though I've been absent for what seems like a lifetime.

As a new years resolution I opened up an Etsy shop selling my hand-dyed yarns. Why don't you go take a peek and let me know what you think? XD

Find me on Etsy here: Another Crafty Girl
You can also find a tumblr I set up for the shop here:

I hope you're all doing well and I'm so sorry to have lost touch with so many of you. If you'd like to add me on facebook just send me a PM. I'd love to hear from all of you!

knitting &

I've been spending a lot of my free time knitting lately. I don't know what's gotten into me, but I can't stop. Not that that's a bad thing, I'm really quite enjoying myself, it's just becoming quite expensive and I find myself lusting after all the beauteous yarn out there that's hand spun and hand painted. I just want to touch it all!

Currently I've mostly been working on my sock yarn blanket. It’s very exciting to see my sock blankie progressing. It’s currently in a scarf-like stage but hopefully I’ll continute to make progress in a timely manor. I really enjoy working on this project a little everyday. Even if I only have time to make one square that day there still instant gratification and it makes me happy.

That being said, I'm not sure how much I'll be updating here anymore. I sort of feel like my time here at livejournal is coming to an end. I still read my flist daily as well as follow a few communities but as an active personal output for me, I think it is over. I've really taken a liking to in all it's simplicity and will most likely from now on only be updating there. You can find me here:

another year

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and that you're enjoying 2009.

christmas recap
Christmas Loot
Thank you all for the wonderful Christmas cards you sent me, I really appreciate it. I didn't manage to get mine sent out and I fear it's now too late. However, I have decided that I will keep the cards I made for next Christmas AND I will send you all a surprise postcard/letter at some point throughout the year in addition to a holiday card. I think getting some random surprise snail mail might be more fun anyway.

I got a lot of amazing things for Christmas this year. I still can't believe how much awesome there is, truly thankful. Here's a photo I took a the stuff I got! If you click it there's a bunch of notes saying what everything is at flickr.
Not pictured:
  • a matching dresser that goes with the bed John and I got.
  • 42" Samsung Plasma TV from John to my family.
  • XBOX 360 & PS3 from my parents to Frank, John & I.
So now that I've had a chance to get used to our new gaming systems a little bit I figured I'd share my gamer id's with that you can add me and stuff....because I need friends!

XBOX LIVE: i am ponkie
Playstasion 3: i_am_ponkie

I've mostly been playing Little Big Planet and A Kingdom for Keflings (XBOX download) lately. I absolutely adore them both.

catching up
I made a few backdated entries today, just to catch up a bit. I first did a end of the year review meme and it can be found here. I also created a new book post and movie post for 2009. Yes, I like making lists because it makes me feel more accomplished.

Sorry for being so mia lately. I try to read all your entries, but I'm sure I've missed a few. :( I'm pretty tired from work all the time...mainly due to having to be up at 4am and me not being a morning person at all.

Best wishes to you all for a wonderful 2009! Much love to you all.

movies in 2009

I will again be keeping track of the movies I see in the theater this year. My goal is to see a couple new movies in the theater each month (thus, not as drastic as last year where my goal was one new movie each week). I found that even though I really enjoy seeing new movies in the theater, it just became rather costly after a while, especially around the holidays when I was spending money on gifts for family and friends. ‹/end rambling›

Here's hoping for a great year of new movies!

books in 2009

As last year, I will again be keeping track of the books I've read this year. This year my goal will be to read 25 books before the years end. We all know how bad I am with reading goals so I've lowered my goal to something a bit more realistic for me.

If you know of any books you think I absolutely must read this year feel free to leave me a comment! I appreciate all recommendations, I'm just slow at getting to them.

end of the year review

I can't believe how long it's been so long since I last updated. I doth fail. Anyway, much has happened since then but I doubt I can remember it all.

goodbye, two thousand eight
2004: (e) people are obnoxious everywhere...on the train in a confined place i cannot handle it. let me tell you whoever came up with the walkie-talkie phone thing needs to have a serious discussion with me. babies crying, people who have the phone glued to their ear and scream into the phone. the noise never ends.
2005: (I cheat because I totally forgot how awesome this post was)
2006: i'm freaking out. (that's the entire post, no idea what it was I was freaking out about....)
2007: i bought myself a horizon kompact as a christmas present to myself. (this has turned out to be my favorite camera; at least top three)
01: I didn't take many photos this Christmas but I rather liked this one.
02: The key to this menagerie is constant stirring or you will burn the beJEEBUZ out of it. Do not turn your back on a roiling cauldron of cheese sauce. It will burn and also is hot as the sun and harder to wash off than napalm.
     03: So...officially unemployed - again.
     04: I had a bra fitting yesterday.
05: On May 2, 2008 the car spindle was destroyed.
     06: I am still alive.
07: I been on a few more interviews and been rejected from them all. It makes me hate me.
08: This has been by far, one of the worst weeks ever, in the history of mah life. (this was the only sentence I wrote that entire month.)
09: It seems to become more and more difficult for me update regularly.
10: Yes indeedy my statue of liberty polaroid is Shot of the Day on! XD
     11: 18:21 I voted!
12: Anyway, after a sad goodbye to the Shadow and a few annoying weeks of having to be dropped off and picked up at work I am now the proud owner of an '88 Pontiac Grand Am.

Sorry I've failed at LJ this past year, I'm surprised you guys still read it!
